The design of the shed you choose will depend on what you will be using it for and were it will be located. If you just need a small shed to place garden equipment, a lean to shed can be ideal. This design of shed will not take much room and it can be placed next to a fence or wall. The lean to shed has a single sloped roof design. It is one of the most common for garden tools as well as pool equipment and chemicals. Storage Shed
You could fit asphalt shingles to protect the shed, as it is a straight forward solution. Therefore, install roofing felt over the roofing sheets, making sure the strips overlap at least 2″. Secure the tar paper to the plywood sheets with roofing staples. Fit the drip edges. Place a starting course at the bottom of the roof, before installing the asphalt shingles. Always read the manufacturing instructions before starting the installation, as there are several aspects that differ. Garden Shed Plans
Well, not these plans. You have the option of building a very functional and spacious lean-to shed on different foundations. Your foundation choices are a concrete slab, a wooden floor supported by concrete piers, or a wooden floor supported by skids. That lost option also means that your lean-to could be mobile as well so you won’t have to decide where you want to permanently put it. Backyard Shed

Shed plans are free-standing structures typically design for storage, workshop space or organizational purposes. They are often built in backyards or on other small pieces of property. Sheds are available in a broad range of shapes, sizes and styles and are flexible enough to accommodate a multitude of needs. For those with no outside storage or an overflowing garage, shed plans are the perfect solution. They provide the ideal storage space to protect your things from the elements and keep them safe and secure. Additionally, they help keep the backyard and garage orderly and tidy while adding much needed storage space to your property. A variety of finishes, door options, and rooflines give each shed plan a distinct look, ensuring you’ll find the right one match your home and satisfy your needs. Some alternatives to shed plans include 1-Car garage plans and Garage Workshop plans. Storage Shed

The construction of a wood foundation is usually built using pressure-treated 2x6 lumbers. These parts are called the band on the ends and the joist in the middle of the band, spaced out 16-24 inches apart. The foundation frame will sit on top of pressure-treated 4x4 posts called skids. The skids will set on the cinder blocks or on top of gravel to prevent rot.
Northwest Sheds is locally owned and operated in Sumner, Washington.  Jim Campbell, Owner, has been in the storage shed business since 1980.  Jim opened Northwest Sheds in 1993, focusing on the needs of homeowners in the Pacific Northwest.  The climate of the Pacific Northwest poses some challenges for storage shed construction and in the choice of construction materials.  Jim made a decision when he started Northwest Sheds, to only use quality products that can stand up to weather that is unique to the Pacific Northwest.  To this end, only plywood and T1-11 siding is used in Northwest Sheds.  All our buildings are guaranteed for both materials and workmanship for 2 years.
The roof truss can be built using 2x4 or 2x6 lumbers. There are different ways to build the truss, the most common is cutting out the rafters and assembling them using gussets. The easiest way to build the roof truss will be using plans. The other option will be to lay the 2x4’s or 2x6’s on the level floor set them how you want your roof and make a template. Once you are happy with the look of your template you can build the rest. Garden Shed Plans

We’re not going to tell you that all pre-made sheds are bad. On the contrary, if you spend enough money, you can buy a pre-made or so-called ‘flat-pack’ shed and it’ll last you a very long time. However, buying a pre-built shed will cost you double, triple or even quadruple what it would cost you to build your own. DIY sheds are cheaper to build than pre-made sheds, and because you are building them yourself from scratch, you can be sure of the quality. This is a key point, because with a pre-made or flat-pack shed, you can never be sure that the lumber being used is of good quality, or even if it came from sustainable sources (if that’s important to you). You can also put your mark on a shed you build yourself. Feel free to mark the lumbar you use to show off your workmanship, and feel free to modify the design of the shed however you like. You won’t be constrained by building your own shed either, meaning you can add shelves and intricate design features as you go along. Until now, the only option you had was to hire a professional to build your shed since you never had the knowledge to do so. But, today is your lucky day! Welcome to 3DSHEDPLANS™, where we offer gable, lean-to and hip shed plans that come with a complete list of tools, accessories, hardware and material you would require to do the job yourself. And, it’s not that difficult at all! Our plans come with detail instructions, 3D dimensions, list of materials and even highlighted points where you need to nail to attach the lumber. What else would you require to start working on your shed right away? Garden Shed Plans

But blindly following your imagination can be a step in the wrong direction. If you’re a newbie to DIY woodworking, then you’ll probably want to keep it simple.
