We’re not going to tell you that all pre-made sheds are bad. On the contrary, if you spend enough money, you can buy a pre-made or so-called ‘flat-pack’ shed and it’ll last you a very long time. However, buying a pre-built shed will cost you double, triple or even quadruple what it would cost you to build your own. DIY sheds are cheaper to build than pre-made sheds, and because you are building them yourself from scratch, you can be sure of the quality. This is a key point, because with a pre-made or flat-pack shed, you can never be sure that the lumber being used is of good quality, or even if it came from sustainable sources (if that’s important to you). You can also put your mark on a shed you build yourself. Feel free to mark the lumbar you use to show off your workmanship, and feel free to modify the design of the shed however you like. You won’t be constrained by building your own shed either, meaning you can add shelves and intricate design features as you go along. Until now, the only option you had was to hire a professional to build your shed since you never had the knowledge to do so. But, today is your lucky day! Welcome to 3DSHEDPLANS™, where we offer gable, lean-to and hip shed plans that come with a complete list of tools, accessories, hardware and material you would require to do the job yourself. And, it’s not that difficult at all! Our plans come with detail instructions, 3D dimensions, list of materials and even highlighted points where you need to nail to attach the lumber. What else would you require to start working on your shed right away?
We have a large selection of small garden sheds that are just right for your hoses and yard supplies. Need something even smaller? We also have deck boxes capable of holding up to 600 gallons. When you choose to build the shed yourself, you only have to pay for the cost of the materials and tools. Here are the most common shed building price scenarios:

A successful DIY shed starts with choosing the right shed plans. First, determine how much space you can commit to an outbuilding, and check local codes for setbacks as you decide where to put it. It’s also important to consider what you’d like to store in the shed. Small tools can be hung on walls to save space, but large items like lawn mowers and snow blowers need more square footage. One last thing about shed sizes, it’s a good idea to always measure out the dimensions in your own garden before you invest any money. You can do this easily by using a couple of stakes and a string to measure out the space. That’s how the pros do it. Make sure that you leave enough room on all sides of the shed to help with rain drainage and prevent water damage. Garden Shed Plans

By searching online you can find some free shed plans that are decent. Most often though these plans will be geared towards more experienced builders and they will not be very detailed. If you are a first time builder look for plans you can understand, even if it means paying a little. Use plans that contain a material list and plenty of details if this is your first time. Most free plans available are not as detailed with the building steps, so free is not always a good idea. If you go to the top of this page I have provided a list of some of the best plans from reputable websites. Garden Shed Plans
If you need lots of space for storage, garden room, or office space, the most common design will be the gable shed. The gable roof design has two sloped roof that resembles a little house. This design is the most popular because it blends will with your home. The gambrel shed resembles a barn. It is great for storage as no space will go to waste. A larger size gambrel shed will have enough room to build a loft. Having a loft will keep everything organized and allow you to store more stuff. By installing a ramp to the shed you can also store ATV, snowmobiles, jet skis, trailers, and such things. Storage Shed

Some alternatives to shed plans include 1-Car garage plans and Garage Workshop plans.
